Ramchandra on the radioDear Friends:

Watch a new video about a student whose life was transformed by NYOF!

A scholarship from the Nepalese Youth Opportunity Foundation enabled Ramchandra to overcome an extremely disadvantaged childhood. He did not even attend school until age nine, when NYOF began to support him. When he completes his education, he wants to promote education for the disabled in Nepal. Watch a video about Ram's hardships and his truly inspirational outlook on life (http://nyof.org/newsroom/video.html#ram).

Keep an eye on NYOF’s YouTube page for more videos about our programs and the children we rescue!

We want YOU to think of a new name for the Nepalese Youth Opportunity Foundation!

"Nepalese Youth Opportunity Foundation" is quite a mouthful, so we’re thinking about changing our name! Since we depend so much on our supporters in so many ways, we hope you can help us find a new name for our organization.

We also invite you to come up with ideas for a new tagline and a new logo.

Please send any ideas you have to name@nyof.org!

Keep us current with your address

NYOF’s next newsletter should be arriving in your mailbox any day now. In this letter, Olga describes NYOF’s pioneering vocational training programs, which help youth find jobs that match their abilities and interests. The astonishing unemployment rate in Nepal makes the need for these programs particularly urgent.

If you have moved recently or if you haven't been getting our mailings, please let us know your current address by emailing info@nyof.org or calling us at 1-866-FOR-NYOF.

Make a donation to rescue the most vulnerable children in Nepal!Olga and two of the girls at K House

Because dollars go far in Nepal, your contributions to NYOF make a profound impact. It only costs $75 to provide an education to an impoverished child in rural Nepal for a year.

A gift of $340 will restore a severely malnourished child to good health while educating the mother in nutrition and child care. When they return to their village, the mother will share her new knowledge with friends and neighbors, multiplying the impact of this project.

Your donation of $300 will provide school fees, housing, and all other expenses for a disabled student such as Ramchandra to attend a special school that can provide for his needs for one year.

You can donate online with a credit card, by mailing us a check or credit card information, or by giving stocks and securities. Please consider making recurring monthly credit card donations, which are safe, hassle-free, and provide NYOF with a consistent source of funding; just let us know in the comments box when you donate online.

On behalf of the thousands of destitute children in Nepal to whom NYOF has given unimagined opportunities, I thank you. Feel free to forward this email to your friends and family who may want to learn more about us.

Warm regards,
Olga Murray
